EDUKASI KESEHATAN TENTANG SKRINING KANKER SERVIKS DENGAN METODE IVA TEST PADA WANITA USIA SUBUR DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PUTRI AYU KOTA JAMBI

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang : Kanker serviks merupakan kanker dengan jumlah kasus terbanyak kedua di Indonesia. Meskipun dapat dicegah melalui deteksi dini, cakupan pemeriksaan IVA di Kota Jambi masih rendah, yakni hanya 4,03%, jauh di bawah target nasional sebesar 50%. Rendahnya partisipasi ini dipengaruhi oleh minimnya pengetahuan dan kesadaran Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) mengenai pentingnya skrining.
Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan WUS mengenai edukasi kesehatan tentang skrining kanker serviks dengan metode IVA Test di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Putri Ayu Kota Jambi.
Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada satu orang subjek yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner pengetahuan (pre-test dan post-test) yang terdiri dari 15 soal. Intervensi yang diberikan berupa edukasi kesehatan menggunakan media leaflet dan lembar balik selama tiga hari berturut-turut.
Hasil : Hasil pengkajian awal (pre-test) menunjukkan tingkat pengetahuan responden berada pada kategori kurang dengan skor 40%. Setelah diberikan intervensi edukasi kesehatan pada hari kedua dan evaluasi pada hari ketiga, hasil post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan ke kategori baik dengan skor 93%. Responden juga mampu menjelaskan kembali prosedur dan manfaat pemeriksaan IVA Test.
Kesimpulan : Edukasi kesehatan melalui media leaflet dan lembar balik efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan Wanita Usia Subur mengenai skrining kanker serviks metode IVA Test.

ABSTRACT

Background : Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in Indonesia. Although it can be prevented through early detection, the coverage of IVA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid) screening in Jambi City remains low, at only 4.03%, which is far below the national target of 50%. This low participation rate is influenced by a lack of knowledge and awareness among Women of Childbearing Age (WCA) regarding the importance of screening.
Objective : This study aims to determine the level of knowledge among WCA regarding health education on cervical cancer screening using the IVA test method in the working area of the Putri Ayu Public Health Center, Jambi City.
Methods : This study employed a descriptive design with a case study approach involving one subject who met the inclusion criteria. The data collection instrument consisted of a knowledge questionnaire (pre-test and post-test) comprising 15 questions. The intervention provided was health education using leaflets and flipcharts over three consecutive days.
Results : The initial assessment (pre-test) showed that the respondent's knowledge level was in the "poor" category, with a score of 40%. After the health education intervention on the second day and evaluation on the third day, the post-test results showed a significant increase to the "good" category, with a score of 93%. The respondent was also able to re-explain the procedures and benefits of the IVA test.
Conclusion : Health education through leaflets and flipcharts is effective in increasing the knowledge of Women of Childbearing Age regarding cervical cancer screening using the IVA test method.
