Abstract

ABSTRAK

Latar belakang: Penuaan pada lansia menyebabkan perubahan fisik, mental, sosial, ekonomi, dan fisiologis. Salah satu perubahan fisiologis adalah perubahan struktur vena besar yang dapat memicu hipertensi. Dukungan keluarga sangat penting dalam pengelolaan hipertensi, terutama melalui perubahan gaya hidup. Salah satu langkah efektif adalah diet rendah garam, yaitu mengurangi konsumsi garam untuk membantu mengontrol tekanan darah. Jumlah data lansia yang didapatkan yaitu sebanyak 1.408 yang mengalami penyakit Hipertensi Di Puskesmas Rawasari Kota Jambi
Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan pada keluarga lansia dalam mengurangi konsumsi garam yang berlebihan pada pasien yang mengidap penyakit hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Rawasari Kota Jambi.
Metode:Rancangan penelitian deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek dalam studi kasus ini adalah 1 keluarga lansia yang dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Rawasari Hasil: Hasil penelitian terhadap Ny.H menggunakan alat ukur kuisioner, menunjukkan peningkatan nilai pre-test Ny.H 40% ( kategori kurang ) dengan nilai post-test Ny.H 90% ( kategori baik ).
Kesimpulan: Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan tentang diet rendah garam setelah diberikan edukasi kesehatan pada responden.
Saran: Perlu dilakukan penerapan edukasi kesehatan diet rendah garam yang berkelanjutan maka klien yang menderita hipertensi agar dapat meningkatkan derajat kesehatan dirinya dan keluarganya.

ABSTRACT

Background: Aging in the elderly causes physical, mental, social, economic and physiological changes. One of the physiological changes is changes in the structure of large veins that can trigger hypertension. Family support is essential in the management of hypertension, especially through lifestyle changes. One effective measure is a low salt diet, which reduces salt consumption to help control blood pressure. The amount of elderly data obtained is 1,408 who experience hypertension at the Jambi City Rawasari Health Center.
Objective: This study was conducted with the aim of increasing knowledge in elderly families in reducing excessive salt consumption in patients with hypertension in the working area of the Rawasari Health Center, Jambi City.
Methods: Descriptive research design with case study design. The subjects in this case study were 1 elderly family conducted in the working area of the Rawasari Health Center.
Results: The results of research on Mrs.H using a questionnaire measuring instrument, showed an increase in Mrs.H's pre-test value of 40% (poor category) with Mrs.H's post-test value of 90% (good category).
Conclusion: There was an increase in knowledge about low salt diet after health education was given to respondents.
Suggestion: It is necessary to implement sustainable low-salt diet health education for clients suffering from hypertension in order to improve the health status of themselves and their families.
