Abstract
ABSTRAK
Latar belakang: Anak tunagrahita mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami informasi, termasuk cara menyikat gigi yang benar. Metode edukasi konvensional sering kurang efektif bagi mereka. Video animasi sebagai media pembelajaran dinilai lebih menarik dan mudah dipahami.
Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan penggunaan metode video animasi dalam edukasi kesehatan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan anak tunagrahita di SLB Harapan Mulia Jambi tentang cara menggosok gigi.
Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif studi kasus. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SLB Harapan Mulia Kota Jambi pada Maret 2025. Media yang digunakan adalah video animasi, jumlah responden sebanyak 1 orang anak tunagrahita berumur 12 tahun, anak tunagrahita koperatif dan anak yang berpengetahuan kurang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar Kuesioner materi yang terdiri dari aspek penting dalam menyikat gigi seperti tujuan menyikat gigi, teknik menyikat gigi, pemilihan sikat gigi dan waktu yang tepat untuk menyikat gigi.
Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan secara signifikan setelah diberikan edukasi menggunakan video animasi (persentase pretest 46,15 meningkat menjadi 92,5 pada posttest).
Kesimpulan: Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan pada responden tentang menggosok gigi
Saran: Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai inovasi media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh orang tua atau guru dalam meningkatkan Edukasi kesehatan menggunakan metode video animasi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menggosok gigi anak tunagrahita.

ABSTRACT
Background : Children with disabilities have difficulty in understanding information, including how to brush their teeth properly. Conventional educational methods are often less effective for them. Animated videos as learning media are considered more interesting and easy to understand.
Objectives: To determine the level of knowledge of using the animated video method in health education to increase the knowledge of children with disabilities in SLB Harapan Mulia Jambi about how to brush their teeth.
Methods: This type of research is a descriptive case study. The research was conducted at SLB Harapan Mulia Jambi City in March 2025. The media used is an animated video, the number of respondents is 1 tunagrahita child aged 12 years, cooperative tunagrahita children and children who have less knowledge. The instrument used was a material questionnaire sheet consisting of important aspects of brushing teeth such as the purpose of brushing teeth, brushing techniques, selecting a toothbrush and the right time to brush teeth.
Results: The results showed a significant increase in knowledge after being given education using animated videos (the pretest percentage increased from 46.15 to 92.5 in the posttest).
Conclusion: There was an increase in respondents' knowledge about tooth brushing
Suggestion: It is hoped that the results of this research can be used as a learning media innovation that is used by parents or teachers in improving health education using the animated video method to improve the ability to brush teeth of children with disabilities.
