PENERAPAN KOMPRES AIR HANGAT MENGGUNAKAN METODE WWZ (WARM WATER ZACK) PADA LANSIA NYERI SENDI RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS DI PSTW BUDI LUHUR JAMBI

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang : Rheumatoid Arthritis, penyakit autoimun kronis yang menyebabkan peradangan pada sendi, menyebabkan nyeri, pembengkakan, dan kekauan, dengan Prevelensi mencapai 7,3%. Rheumatoid Arthritis mempengaruhi kualitas hidup penderitanya,termasuk aktivitas sehari-hari, RA juga menyerang sendi
Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui Penerapan Kompres Air Hangat Menggunakan Metode (Warm Water Zack) Pada Lansia Nyeri Sendi Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Metode : Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah satu orang responden yang sesuai memenuhi kriteria inklusi dengan penilaian menggunakan Numeric Rating Scale (NRS).
Hasil : Didapatkan hasil Pre-Test 6/10 dengan kategori Nyeri Sedang, dan Post-Test 4/10 dengan kategori Nyeri Ringan.
Kesimpulan : Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan terbukti bahwa kompres air hangat dapat menurunkan skala intensitas nyeri pada pasien Rheumatoid Arthritis pada lansia.

ABSTRACT

Background: Rheumatoid Arthritis, a chronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of the joints, causing pain, swelling, and stiffness, with a prevalence reaching 7.3%. Rheumatoid Arthritis affects the quality of life of sufferers, including daily activities, RA also attacks the joints.
Purpose: To find out the Application of Warm Water Compresses Using the (Warm Water Zack) Method in Elderly People with Rheumatoid Arthritis Joint Pain.
Methods: The study used a descriptive method. The subject in this study was one respondent who met the inclusion criteria with an assessment using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS).
Results: The results of the Pre-Test were 6/10 with the category of Moderate Pain, and the Post-Test 4/10 with the category of Mild Pain.
Conclusion: Based on research conducted, it has been proven that warm water compresses can reduce the pain intensity scale in elderly Rheumatoid Arthritis patients.
