Abstract

ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Anak dengan disabilitas mengalami hambatan dalam kegiatan sehari-hari termasuk merawat diri, sehingga menyebabkan anak memiliki tingkat personal hygiene buruk.
Kebiasaan kebersihan diri (personal hygiene) yang dapat dilakukan salah satunya adalah memotong kuku

Tujuan: Menggambarkan penerapan memotong kuku dengan teknik Shaping terhadap kemampuan personal hygiene pada anak disabilitas di SLB Harapan Mulia Kota Jambi

Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 2 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi.

Hasil: Hasil Pre dan posttest terhadap An.A dan An.R menunjukkan peningkatan dengan An.A pretest adalah 3 (tidak mampu) dan An.R pretest adalah 2 (tidak mampu) dan posttest An. A adalah 12 (mampu) dan An.R adalah 11 (mampu).

Kesimpulan: Memotong kuku dengan teknik shaping terhadap kemampuan personal hygiene pada anak disabilitas meningkat.

Saran: Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai inovasi media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh orang tua dan guru dalam penerapan memotong kuku dengan teknik shaping terhadap kemampuan personal hygiene pada anak disabilitas.

ABSTRACT
Background: Children with disabilities experience obstacles in daily activities including taking care of themselves, causing children to have poor levels of personal hygiene.
One of the personal hygiene habits that can be done is cutting nails

Objective: Describe the application of nail cutting with the Shaping technique to personal hygiene skills in children with disabilities at SLB Harapan Mulia, Jambi City

Methods: This type of research is a descriptive case study. The subjects of this study were 2 respondents. The instrument used is an observation sheet.

Results: Pre and posttest results for An.A and An.R showed an improvement with An.A pretest was 3 (incapable) and An.R pretest was 2 (incapable) and posttest An. A is 12 (capable) and An.R is 11 (capable).

Conclusion: Cutting nails with shaping techniques on personal hygiene skills in children with disabilities increased.

Suggestion: It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as an innovation in learning media used by parents and teachers in the application of nail cutting with shaping techniques on personal hygiene skills in children with disabilities.
