Abstract

ABSTRAK
Latar belakang: Anak autis memiliki keterbatasan keterampilan komunikasi sosial, dan mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar, termasuk belajar yang kaitannya dalam kemandirian dan aktifitas sehari hari. Media dressing frame salah satu alat yang menarik untuk anak autisme dalam kemandiriannya mengancing baju.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan media dressing frame terhadap bina diri pada anak autisme. Sehingga dapat menjadi solusi dari anak yang mengalami kurangnya kemandirian.
Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif studi kasus. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SLB Harapan Mulia Kota Jambi, Media yang digunakan adalah dressing frame, jumlah responden sebanyak 1 orang anak autisme berumur 6-12 tahun, anak autisme koperatif dan anak yang mendapatkan nilai observasi kurang dari 60% (Kategori kurang). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi.
Hasil: Hasil pre test dan post test terhadap An. A menunjukkan adanya peningkatan, dengan skor pre test 25% (kategori kurang) dan skor post test 87,5% (kategori sangat baik)
Kesimpulan: Penerapan media dressing frame teruji mampu meningkatkan bina diri pada An.A
Saran: Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai inovasi media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh orang tua atau guru dalam penerapan media dressing frame untuk meningkatkan bina diri pada anak autisme.

ABSTRACT
Background : Children with autism have limitations in social communication skills and experience difficulties in learning, including learning related to independence and daily activities. The dressing frame is one of the engaging tools that can help children with autism develop independence, particularly in buttoning their clothes.
Objective : This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using the dressing frame media in improving self-care skills in children with autism, providing a solution for children who struggle with independence.
Method: This research is a descriptive case study conducted at Harapan Mulia Special Needs School, Jambi City, The media used was the dressing frame. The respondent was one cooperative child with autism aged between 6–12 years who had received an observation score below 60% (categorized as low). The instrument used was an observation sheet.
Result: The pre-test and post-test results of An.A. showed a significant improvement, with a pre-test score of 25% (categorized as low) and a post-test score of 87.5% (categorized as excellent).
Conclusion: The application of the dressing frame media has been proven effective in improving self-care skills in An.A.
Suggestion: It is hoped that the results of this study can serve as an innovative learning medium for parents or teachers in applying dressing frame media to enhance self-care skills in children with autism.
