Abstract
ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang : Anak yang mendapatkan perawatan di rumah sakit akan berpengaruh pada kondisi fisik dan psikologinya, hal ini disebut dengan hospitalisasi. Salah satu yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi kecemasan adalah dengan Storytelling
Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui penerapan storytelling dalam mengatasi kecemasan anak usia prasekolah akibat hospitalisasi di Ruang Kenari Rumah Sakit TK III dr. Bratanata Jambi.
Metode : Pada penelitian ini desain yang digunakan adalah deskriptif study kasus pada 1 orang anak usia prasekolah sebanyak 3 kali pertemuan dengan mengobservasi kecemasan anak sebelum dan sesudah storytelling diberikan dengan menggunakan SCAS (Spence Children’s Anxiety Scale).
Hasil : Sebelum dilakukan storytelling tingkat kecemasan An. A kategori sedang dengan (skor SCAS 40). Setelah dilakukan storytelling tingkat kecemasan An. A berkurang menjadi kategori ringan (skor SCAS 28)
Kesimpulan :Setelah dilakukan Storytelling pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil bahwa storytelling merupakan terapi bercerita yang dapat membantu menurunkan tingkat kecemasan pada anak akibat hospitalisasi.
Saran : Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dijadikan referensi dalam bacaan bagi mahasiswa Stikes Garuda Putih dalam penerapan storytelling pada anak usia prasekolah di Ruang Kenari Rs Tk III dr Bratanata Jambi

ABSTRACT
Background: Children who receive treatment in hospitals will be affected in their physical and psychological conditions, this is referred to as hospitalization. One way to address anxiety is through Storytelling.
Objective: To understand the application of storytelling in addressing anxiety in preschool-aged children due to hospitalization in the Kenari Room of the TK III dr. Bratanata Hospital in Jambi.
Method: In this study, the design used is a descriptive case study on 1 preschool-aged child, conducted over 3 meetings by observing the child's anxiety before and after storytelling was given using the SCAS (Spence Children’s Anxiety Scale).
Results: Before the storytelling, An. A's anxiety level was in the moderate category (SCAS score 40). After the storytelling, An. A's anxiety level decreased to the mild category (SCAS score 28).
Conclusion: After the storytelling was conducted in this research, it was found that storytelling is a therapy that can help reduce anxiety levels in children due to hospitalization.
Suggestion: It is hoped that the results of this research will serve as a reference in the reading for students of Stikes Garuda Putih in the application of storytelling to preschool children in the Kenari Room of Rs Tk III dr Bratanata Jambi.
