GAMBARAN EDUKASI KESEHATAN TENTANG METODE KANGURU UNTUK MENINGKATKAN BERAT BADAN PADA BAYI BBLR DI RUANG MERANTI RUMAH SAKIT DR BRATANATA JAMBI TAHUN 2024

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang : Bayi berat badan lahir rendah (BBLR) adalah bayi dengan berat lahir kurang dari 2.500 gram tanpa memandang masa gestasi. Prevalansi bayi berat lahir rendah (BBLR) diperkirakan 15% dari seluruh kelahiran di dunia dan angka kematiannya 35 kali lebih tinggi. PMK merupakan salah satu metode noninvansif yang memberikan keuntungan bagi bayi dan juga ibu.
Tujuan : Mengetahui edukasi kesehatan tentang metode kanguru untuk meningkatkan berat badan pada bayi bblr di ruang meranti rumah sakit dr.Bratanata jambi.
Metode : Jenis penelitian ini adalah deksriptif dengan rancangan penelitian studi kasus untuk mengetahui orang tua yang melahirkan bayi BBLR di RS DR. Bratanata Jambi Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 10 Juni 2024 di rumah responden.
Hasil : Pemahaman responden tentang edukasi kesehatan tentang metode kanguru untuk meningkatkan berat badan pada bayi bblr, sebelum dilakukan edukasi kesehatan nilai 50% dan setelah dilakukan edukasi kesehatan nilai 70%.
Kesimpulan : Adanya peningkatan pengetahuan setelah di lakukan edukasi kesehatan tentang metode kanguru untuk meningkatkan berat badan pada bayi bblr di RS DR. Bratanata Jambi.
Saran : Diharapkan klien dapat memahami dan menerapkan edukasi kesehatan tentang metode kanguru pada bayi bblr.

ABSTRACT

Background: Low birth weight (LBW) infants are babies with a birth weight of less than 2,500 grams regardless of gestational age. The prevalence of low birth weight infants (LBW) is estimated at 15% of all births worldwide, with a mortality rate 35 times higher. Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) is a non-invasive method that benefits both the baby and the mother.
Objective: To understand the health education about the kangaroo method to increase the weight of LBW infants in the Meranti room at Dr. Bratanata Hospital Jambi.
Method: This research is descriptive with a case study design to understand the parents who gave birth to LBW infants at Dr. Bratanata Hospital Jambi. This research was conducted on June 10 2024 at the respondent’s home.
Results: Respondents' understanding of health education about the kangaroo method to increase the weight of LBW infants was 50% before the health education and 70% after the health education.
Conclusion: There is an increase in knowledge after conducting health education about the kangaroo method to increase the weight of LBW infants at Dr. Bratanata Hospital Jambi.
Suggestion: It is hoped that clients can understand and apply the health education about the kangaroo method to LBW infants.
